We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Nursing Assistant Professor/Associate Professor to join our team at the University of Alabama. This tenure-track position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our nursing program.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research in substance use disorders and related conditions, and contributing to departmental and university service. The ideal candidate will have a strong research focus, a doctoral degree in nursing or a related field, and the ability to practice as a registered nurse in Alabama.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in nursing, including introductory courses and PhD-level courses
  • Conduct and lead independent high-impact research in substance use disorders and related conditions
  • Contribute to departmental and university service, including committee work and advising
Requirements
  • Research-focused doctoral degree in nursing or a related field
  • Ability to practice as a registered nurse in Alabama
  • Established program of research preferred
