Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team in Hanover, MD. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of system security engineering principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply current systems security engineering methods, practices, and technologies to maintain system security throughout the architecture, design, development, evaluation, and integration of systems.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce information systems security policies to ensure system security requirements are addressed during all phases of the acquisition and Information System lifecycle.
  • Evaluate proposed security architectures and designs to provide input on their adequacy in meeting required security compliance objectives.
  • Contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, assessment & authorization activities for complex software-intensive systems.
  • Support resolving conflicting system security engineering requirements.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Ability to obtain a favorable Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CISSP-ISSEP certification
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of training, work experience, and applicable military experience
  • Ability to develop and interpret security architectures, data flow diagrams, and publications that depict system(s) architecture
  • Experience with modern networks, operating systems, databases, and virtual computing
  • Ability to identify risk areas of non-compliance and propose solutions to meet operational requirements and cybersecurity needs simultaneously

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $95,000 - $180,000 based on location and industry standards.
