We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Systems Architect to join our team at Lockheed Martin. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing secure and efficient cyber systems for our satellite earth terminals.

Job Description

The primary function of this position is to lead the development, deployment, and evolution of mission-critical system infrastructure for our satellite communication network. Key responsibilities include:

  • Surveying existing RF systems from LNA (Low Noise Amplifier) to data processing units to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Evaluating current control and tasking systems to understand their functionality, limitations, and potential for integration with new architectures.
  • Gathering digitizer requirements for various mission customers to design tailored solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Performing market surveys to identify vendors with devices that can support the mission.
  • Characterizing available devices for performance by testing and evaluating them based on sensitivity, dynamic range, linearity, and noise figure.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
  • Possess all capabilities as defined by the GG Statement of work (SOW) Appendix B for the USG standard SE labor category level 5/6.
Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Digital Satellite Communications Background: A solid understanding of digital satellite communications, including digital modulation techniques, error correction methods, and digital signal processing.
  • Strong RF Background: Knowledge of cascade analysis, system noise temperature calculations, and G/T analysis.
  • RF Test Equipment Experience: Proficiency in using various RF test equipment to measure, analyze, and optimize RF systems and components.
  • Fundamentals of IP Networking: A solid understanding of TCP/IP and multicast networking fundamentals.
Salary and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $134,300 - $257,400, depending on location and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
