Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the analog team to ensure cost, methods, and staffing are optimized to support device layout requirements and meet time scales as set by the program schedule.
  • Mentor direct reports, providing guidance and support, and reviewing technical and behavioral performance regularly.
  • Conduct appraisals, make remuneration decisions, and proactively manage performance and drive development for the team.
  • Delegate project tasks appropriately, ensuring the entire team follows procedures and analog practices required by internal methodology guidelines.
  • Represent the team and input into corporate engineering processes, methodology improvement discussions.
  • Communicate company and team goals, ensuring all team members identify the relationship between company strategy and their contribution.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Director to drive recruitment strategy and take responsibility for direct hiring within the team.
  • Drive resource planning, making recommendations to the Engineering Director.
  • Make significant contributions to Renesas analog strategy through representation at group management meetings, customer reviews, and cross-site initiatives.
  • Interact with other group managers to ensure wider DC-DC team cohesion and rectify issues that arise.
  • Responsible for continual personal and professional development for all team members.
  • Oversee the pre-production process flow for own projects, ensuring outcomes are of high quality.
Requirements:
  • More than 8 years - 15+ years' experience in analog design.
  • Degree level qualification in Electronics engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge and experience designing various IPs in power management ICs (Buck, Boost, Low Dropout LDOs).
  • In-depth knowledge of BCD (Bipolar, CMOS, DMOS) silicon process technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Mixed-Signal Design Flow.
  • A knowledge/experience of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements and design techniques.
  • Strives for continual improvement in all aspects of work, including policies and methodology.
  • Ability to organize, delegate, budget, and plan the team to meet departmental objectives.
  • Mentor direct reports and review technical and individual performance regularly.
  • Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Results-oriented and able to deliver on-time under tight schedule pressure.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible to undertake occasional international travel at short notice.
  • Excellent command of verbal and written English.
  • Ability to propose innovative solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills with high-level knowledge & expertise in conflict management.
