Job Summary

The Environmental Services Operator will be responsible for safely operating a vehicle to collect and transport solid waste and recyclables to designated facilities. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a vehicle to collect and transport solid waste and recyclables to designated facilities.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Minimum one year of commercial driving experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in schedule and priorities.
  • Exposure to loud noises, extreme temperatures, and inclement weather.
  • May be required to work in a confined space or at heights.
