Job Summary:

The Store Maintenance Door Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Automatic Entrance Doors and Battery Powered Wheelchair Carts in our retail stores. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to maintain the safety and security of our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair Automatic Entrance Doors and Battery Powered Wheelchair Carts in assigned stores and facilities.
  • Inspect new door installations and workmanship to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular checks and perform preventative maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with Automatic Entrance Doors and Battery Powered Wheelchair Carts.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve performance, reduce downtime, and minimize costs.
  • Maintain accurate records for government and company purposes.
  • Travel to retail locations and company offices as needed to provide repairs and maintenance.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Work on a 24-hour on-call basis as needed to develop a preventative maintenance program.
  • Assist in-house technicians with diagnostic development.
  • Refurbish Battery Powered Wheelchair Carts as directed.
  • Understand and follow confidentiality policies regarding company information and personnel data.
  • Complete documentation of activities as required.
  • Follow all safety and security measures and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in low voltage, motors, and/or electrical systems installation, inspection, and repair.
  • Valid and unrestricted U.S. Driver's license.
  • Must pass drug screen.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks, and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
