Key Responsibilities



  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of equipment to our customers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to order status, changes, or cancellations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve any problems that may arise.
  • Review requisition orders to verify accuracy and specifications.
  • Manage purchasing files, reports, and price lists to ensure efficient procurement processes.
  • Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
  • Track the status of requisitions, rebates, and orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Calculate costs of orders and forward invoices to the appropriate accounts.
  • Verify supplier bills and approve payments.
  • Stay up-to-date with state, local, and governmental rules affecting purchases and provide information to staff members and vendors.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Review customer specifications and work with manufacturers to secure pricing and delivery.
  • Issue purchase orders for equipment requisition and update relevant records to ensure proper tracking.
  • Communicate with vendors to ensure minimal production time and delivery from order requisition to end-user delivery.
  • Work with licensing and fleet compliance supervisors to ensure timely receipt of licensing credentials with delivered equipment.
  • Manage accounts receivable for ordered equipment and work with financing and LKE staff to fund equipment efficiently.
  • Collaborate with insurance staff to ensure accurate vehicle equipment values are reported.
  • Produce and maintain VCNs with billing and asset departments to ensure proper billing start dates and domiciled locations.
  • Work with vendors and NationaLease to file for rebates after vehicle payment and delivery.
  • Submit in-service dates for ordered equipment to manufacturers to ensure proper start date of warranty and communicate with warranty departments on special warranty cases.

Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of class 3-8 truck and trailer equipment required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
