Position Summary:

The Automotive Service Technician plays a crucial role in executing vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks as per the standards set by the dealership and manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employ diagnostic tools to pinpoint mechanical, electrical, and other vehicle-related problems.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on various automotive systems including engines, transmissions, and brakes, as specified in repair orders.
  • Work diligently to identify issues and finalize repairs within the designated timeframes.
  • Coordinate with service advisors and the parts department to effectively schedule and prioritize repair tasks.
  • Conduct comprehensive quality checks to ensure all repairs comply with industry standards and assess if further safety services are necessary.
  • Promptly address any discrepancies or concerns with the Service Advisor.
  • Accurately document all diagnostic and repair processes.
  • Complete repair orders and maintain thorough records of all services rendered.
  • Participate in factory-sponsored training sessions to stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and industry developments.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic or Automotive Service Technician in a dealership or similar environment.
  • Strong diagnostic abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repair methodologies.
  • Possession of a personal set of tools is required.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA and demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment screenings including background checks and drug tests.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Mechanic or Automotive Service Technician.
  • Nissan certification is a plus.
  • Experience in rebuilding and replacing engines and transmissions.
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications or manufacturer training are advantageous.
Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $55.00 or more, based on experience and qualifications.
