Flooring Production Specialist

Job Summary:

This is a production position responsible for operating and maintaining various equipment in a hardwood flooring manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and prepare raw materials for processing

Start machines or equipment to begin production processes

Load and unload items from machines and conveyors

Operate machinery used in the production process

Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards

Observe equipment operations to detect malfunctions

Perform spot adjustments and repairs as needed

Notify supervisors of irregularities in machine performance

Remove products, machine attachments, or waste material from machines

Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas

Measure products to ensure conformance to specifications

Separate products according to size or composition of materials used to produce them

Signal coworkers to direct them to move products during the production process

Clean production equipment

Maintain a clean and orderly work environment

Requirements:

Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

Physical strength, hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and endurance

Ability to communicate clearly with other employees

Willingness to participate in training and development opportunities

Ability to learn new tasks and adapt to changing job objectives
