About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon Web Services, Inc. As a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based solutions for our customers.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and develop innovative solutions that meet their business requirements. You will also be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to customers and internal teams, as well as staying up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions for customers
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers and internal teams
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and develop innovative solutions

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in cloud computing and architecture
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and running Java workloads or as a Java Performance engineer
  • 3+ years of experience with Container Services or Data and Analytics platforms (Spark, Trino, Flink)
  • Experience managing Open Source projects and communities
  • History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of low-level architectures and successful migration of applications from x86 to Graviton-based instances
  • Other modern programming languages (Python, C/C++, Go, .Net, Rust, etc), cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
  • Familiarity with common enterprise services and working knowledge of software development lifecycle tools and methodologies
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
  • AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise
