Job Summary

The Cafe Specialist will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and providing top-notch food and beverage services in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Interaction: Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, taking food and drink orders, and providing menu recommendations.
  • Food Preparation: Handle basic food preparation, including washing, cutting, and assembling pre-packaged food items, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure proper food storage and rotation of perishable food, as well as stock areas, order supplies, and maintain inventory.
  • Point of Sale Operations: Operate cash registers and credit card machines, handling transactions and providing excellent customer service.
  • Health and Safety: Follow all food health and safety guidelines and requirements, including proper cleaning and disinfecting of instruments and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-traffic, guest-facing environment or related customer service field.
  • Skills: Proficient experience in Microsoft Office programs, as well as a Food Handler Permit and Alcohol Beverage Certification as designated by state and local agencies.
