Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at the 9031 Radisson Hotel Salt Lake City Downtown. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's customer and heart of house areas in accordance with brand standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary to ensure the hotel's equipment and facilities are in good working order.
  • Respond promptly to customer and hotel staff reports of non-functioning equipment.
  • Maintain a problem logbook to record equipment in need of repair and prioritize efforts accordingly.
  • Report any hazards or injuries in the department or hotel and take immediate action to correct.
  • Understand and implement the Room Preventative Maintenance Program (R.P.M.).
  • Manage full building systems during shifts.
  • Prepare preventative maintenance carts for use each day.
  • Repair and maintain room's heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems.
  • Maintain the condition of hotel lobbies and restaurants.
  • Repair furniture, carpet, marble, tile windows, mirrors, and decorations as necessary.
  • Maintain operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of general facility maintenance experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to successfully pass a driving record check.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to exceptional guest service.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when handling all situations.
  • Adherence to the policies and procedures of the hotel.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
  • Working knowledge of computer and math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in pool maintenance, HVAC units, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Certifications for HVAC CPO.
Physical Demands
  • Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for an eight-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift, pull, push up to 100 pounds on an ongoing basis.
  • Must be able to squat, bend, kneel, and twist on an ongoing basis.
