Position Summary

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a highly skilled Water and Wastewater Project Manager to enhance our innovative team. This role is pivotal in overseeing various projects within the municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate a design team from preliminary studies through to construction management.
  • Engage in diverse projects across the municipal water and wastewater landscape.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Manage design tasks appropriate to your level of expertise.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients, contractors, and internal staff on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Collaborate with the team to make informed decisions regarding technical strategies, budget management, scheduling, change orders, risk assessment, and overall project performance.
  • Monitor and report on project timelines and financials actively.
  • Facilitate project meetings with clients and stakeholders.
  • Prepare, review, and authorize written project deliverables.
  • Opportunities for client development and management will be supported by local, regional, and corporate resources.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel).
  • Strong organizational capabilities and proven problem-solving aptitude.
  • Possession of a PE license or the capacity to secure one within six months.
  • Preferred experience ranges from 10 to 15 years in the water sector.
  • Desirable Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in environmental engineering.
  • Experience in business development.
  • Extensive background with public utilities.
