Water/Wastewater Engineering Internship Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern to join our team at Trilon Group. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented engineering team and gain valuable work experience while enrolled in a full-time engineering program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and document communication with clients through letters and telephone throughout the development and completion of a project.
  • Monitor team members' progress and advise team members of schedules and deadlines.
  • Review schedules and budgets relative to project progress and completion.
  • Conduct project status reviews, checking accuracy of work completed and monitoring timeliness of project completion.
  • Attend meetings on project management.
  • Assist Project Managers with administrative duties concerning completion of assigned projects.
  • Maintain project files.
  • Assist Project Managers in preparation of engineering studies and reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to members of the project team.
  • Provide project design using sound engineering principles, engineering software, and AutoCAD.
  • Assist in preparation of contract documents and technical specifications.
  • Assist Project Managers in ensuring quality control procedures are performed.
  • Assist in preparation of project drawings.
  • Perform necessary code research.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of each segment of the work and the final check of the work.
  • Responsible for adherence to all applicable codes.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science degree program in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering at an ABET-accredited university.
  • Must be interested in pursuing a career in Water/Wastewater.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD platforms.
