Position Title: Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 2:00 pm – 12:30 am, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two paid breaks.

Role Summary:

The Machine Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our production operations. This position involves the operation and monitoring of machinery to guarantee that products are manufactured according to precise specifications while adhering to established safety protocols. Responsibilities include machine setup, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting minor issues to minimize operational downtime. Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely set up and operate machinery and equipment.
  • Monitor machinery during operation to identify any issues or malfunctions.
  • Adjust machine settings as necessary.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machines to maintain optimal performance.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting and familiarity with power tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a machine operator.
  • Technical or vocational training in machinery or manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with computerized control systems and automated machinery.
  • Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
