Manufacturing Engineer Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement optimal manufacturing processes and methods, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with product specifications, safety, and quality standards.
About the Role
This position involves recommending and implementing improvements to production processes, prioritizing process improvement, problem resolution, project management, and employee training.
Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe working culture through safety committee participation and positive reinforcement programs.
- Research, design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment.
- Lead process improvement projects in support of continuous improvement plans.
- Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new or revised products, including setting goals, training team members, and evaluating results.
- Design, develop, implement, test, or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment for safe manufacturing methods.
- Perform product/process analysis for safety, quality, and efficiency improvement.
- Maintain the cost of manufactured products by managing routings in the ERP system.
- Conduct internal time studies and validate manufactured processes.
- Support production tooling-related tasks.
- Determine root causes to eliminate safety and quality issues in the manufacturing process.
- Develop best practices for manufacturing methods and standardize across all sites.
- Work closely with quality assurance and maintenance personnel to prevent problems with products and equipment.
- Represent manufacturing and operations on cross-functional teams.
- Participate in and/or lead insource versus outsource analysis.
- Create and update work instructions to document manufacturing methods.
- Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
- Ensure all manufacturing safety regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained.
- Assist in the assessment of vendor/subcontractors and their processes.
- Participate and actively lead kaizen activities and Gemba walks.
- Communicate with management on any machine, maintenance, or engineering tasks that are in jeopardy of missing deadlines.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Skills: 2D/3D CAD experience, metal machining experience, project management experience, knowledge of continuous improvement processes, excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
