Essential Qualifications:

  • Basic proficiency in mathematics and reading comprehension.
  • A strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage effectively with students and visitors.
  • Capability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adhere to instructions and lift weights up to 30 pounds.
  • Willingness to remain on foot and active throughout the duration of the assigned shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks associated with dining area service and front-of-house operations.
  • Prepare food items while strictly following food safety and handling protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member and independently resolve conflicts with students and staff.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with colleagues and guests.
  • Ensure all workspaces are cleaned and prepared 15 minutes before the end of the shift to facilitate management checks.
  • Keep prep areas, coolers, shelves, and floors clean and organized in all work settings.
  • Complete and submit necessary temperature and sanitation logs to management at the conclusion of each shift.
  • Adhere to mandated cooler shelf storage guidelines.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Notify management of any damaged or unsafe equipment requiring repair or replacement.
  • Assist with catering services as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Other culinary service tasks may be assigned based on operational requirements.
