You will be paired with a MENTOR to guide you through the intricacies of vehicle diagnostics and repairs. Successful completion of an automotive technical training program is a prerequisite.
The Apprentice Service Technician plays a crucial role in executing vehicle maintenance and repair tasks on various automotive brands, adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately perform tasks as specified in the repair order.
- Diagnose issues and carry out necessary repairs.
- Preserve and label parts for warranty jobs or customer requests.
- Inspect vehicles to recommend additional safety or service work.
- Inform the service advisor of any additional required work.
- Communicate promptly with the service advisor if repairs cannot be completed as scheduled.
- Document all work performed meticulously.
- Conduct road tests on vehicles when necessary.
- Leverage the expertise of your Mentor, Team Leader, or Shop Foreman as needed.
- Participate in factory-sponsored training sessions.
- Stay updated with factory technical bulletins.
- Ensure cleanliness of customer vehicles.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and report any incidents to management.
*** 80-hour Guarantee per pay period during apprenticeship***
Qualifications- High Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) is essential.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Successful completion of a recognized automotive technical training program.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Authorization to work in the USA is mandatory.
- Commitment to performing duties safely and responsibly.
- Ability to pass pre-employment assessments, including background checks and drug testing.
