We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Technician Instructor to join our team at Pima Medical Institute. As an instructor, you will play a vital role in preparing students for successful careers in the Medical Laboratory Technician field.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement daily lesson plans for students, including scheduled activities and materials for semesters.
- Plan instruction to achieve specific objectives based on student needs and established curriculum.
- Monitor students' attendance and coordinate with the Associate Director when absences occur.
- Review student success rates and implement a plan to reduce student withdrawals.
- Maintain student grades and prepare final grades at the end of each semester.
- Evaluate students' performance and make necessary provisions to meet learning needs.
- Arrange and coordinate guest speakers, community field trips, and visits to MLT clinics.
- Prepare lectures and practical demonstrations for students.
- Associate degree from a regional or national accredited institution recognized by the US Department of Education.
- Three years of practical experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Technologist.
- One year of instructor experience in a related field preferred.
- Must demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in content areas.
- Must hold credentials from a nationally recognized and accredited agency as a medical laboratory technician or technologist.
