Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at MTM. As a key member of our management team, you will play a critical role in the management, training, and development of staff, as well as the implementation of short and long-term strategic processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of Drivers, Dispatchers, and operations employees and their daily performance, to ensure safe, efficient, effective operation, including scheduling, expenditures, attendance and discipline
  • Perform monthly Safety meetings to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills, including policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Conduct Driver evaluations as required by contract, as well as ADA, DOT, and FTA requirements
  • Communicate regularly with clients to ensure positive productive relationships and to assist them with updates, information, and system upgrades as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required
  • Monitor performance of direct reports and provide coaching and guidance to ensure high levels of performance and productivity
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a related field, such as Business Administration, Transportation Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in transit management, with a proven track record of success in managing staff and implementing strategic processes
  • Previous experience working with senior citizens or persons with disabilities, with a strong understanding of their needs and requirements
  • Experience supervising hourly personnel in a passenger transportation environment, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Experience training in a classroom and behind the wheel setting, with a focus on developing staff knowledge and skills
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a strong understanding of transportation management principles and practices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous management experience in the Para-Transit or livery industries, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in these sectors
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to understand and administer discipline, with a focus on maintaining a positive and productive work environment
  • Knowledge of basic safety and training procedures, with a focus on ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Map reading, two-way radio communication, and driving experience preferably in a demand responsive service environment
  • Capabilities as it relates to data analytics, with a focus on using data to inform decision-making and drive business results
  • Thorough knowledge of ADA, DOT, FTA regulations, with a focus on ensuring compliance and minimizing risk
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality, with a focus on protecting sensitive information and maintaining trust with clients and stakeholders
