Job Summary

The Department of Transportation is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Materials Lab, you will be responsible for managing service contracts, analyzing materials testing, and purchasing equipment and supplies. You will also act as a liaison with Project/Management to review and request allocation of personnel resources. Additionally, you will manage vehicle usage within the materials lab and possess leadership competencies such as Change Commitment, Risk Appetite, Self-development/growth, conflict management, relationship building, organizational awareness, communication, strategic minded, and result driven.

Responsibilities
  • Manage service contracts and analyze materials testing
  • Purchase equipment and supplies
  • Act as liaison with Project/Management to review and request allocation of personnel resources
  • Manage vehicle usage within the materials lab
  • Develop and maintain leadership competencies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a valid California driver's license and be eligible for hire based on your score on the Associate Governmental Program Analyst/Staff Services Analyst exam. You will also need to have leadership competencies such as Change Commitment, Risk Appetite, Self-development/growth, conflict management, relationship building, organizational awareness, communication, strategic minded, and result driven.
