Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance and standard component inspections and repairs.
  • Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable.
  • Replaces defective components as instructed and performs facility maintenance duties.
  • Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of complaints and assigns tasks.
  • Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or Technical Certification, Post-Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred.
  • Basic tools, required.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
  • Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience, preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred.
