About the Job

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic II to join our team. As a Technician II, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on a fleet of vehicles, working independently to diagnose and repair complex issues, and mentoring junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Work independently to complete tasks and projects, with minimal supervision
  • Mentor and train junior technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques through ongoing training and education
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a diesel technician or mechanic
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification preferred
  • ASE certification and 608/609 certifications a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
