Key Responsibilities
  • Align trucks and trailers to set specifications, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct thorough safety inspections on every unit worked on, identifying and addressing any potential issues.
  • Verify the presence of current annual inspection decals on all vehicles.
  • Identify and address irregular tire wear and underinflation, collaborating with colleagues to diagnose and correct the root cause.
  • Perform various tasks related to trailer hooking and unhooking, including lowering and raising landing gear, operating the fifth wheel release lever, and securing cargo doors.
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to:

  • Carry, push, and pull items weighing 1-100 lbs of varying size and shape.
  • Operate an air-operated impact gun weighing approximately 60 lbs.
  • Hook and unhook trailers from the tractor and adjust landing gear.
  • Shift a manual transmission and operate foot pedals.
  • Perform tasks that may involve occasional bending, twisting, climbing, squatting, and crouching.
