Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Family & Community Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work under the supervision of the Medical Director and other VCS physicians to administer medication, screen and handle client concerns, assist psychiatrists, and contribute to physical health concerns of clients. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medication to clients, as prescribed by physicians
  • Screen and handle client concerns regarding medical issues
  • Assist psychiatrists in their role, as needed
  • Contribute to physical health concerns of clients, as observed and reported
  • Provide emergency care and first aid services, as needed
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and other meetings
  • Complete all documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and other stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of Ohio
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a mental health or substance abuse treatment environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
