Key Responsibilities
  • Develop conceptual design and planning studies for short-term and long-term airport development projects.
  • Integrate functional, technical, and operational requirements to develop terminal plans in coordination with other team members and subconsultants.
  • Conduct field surveys, investigations, and collect data in support of airport planning studies.
  • Consult with fellow employees and senior staff on the compilation, interpretation, and presentation of research data for airport planning studies.
  • Prepare draft reports and deliverables based on verbal and written input from others as well as individual efforts.
  • Assist in developing, formatting, publishing, and distributing tables, charts, manuals, and maps that deal with existing and proposed airport planning studies.
  • Respond to requests for data and information from internal staff and external clients, organizations, various agencies, and the public.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Urban Planning.
  • 0-5 years of increasingly responsible experience and a desire to learn and grow in airport planning, aviation, or related fields.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a field such as aviation consulting, engineering, architecture, or planning.
  • Complementary education in Aviation Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics would be a plus.
  • Prior work experience would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of best practices, methods, and principles utilized in strategic planning, infrastructure, and facilities planning, and operational research for airports.
  • Extensive knowledge of spatial/graphical analysis applications (AutoCAD, REVIT, GIS, etc.).
  • Complementary knowledge of analytical techniques and related tools including statistical, spreadsheet, database, and simulation would be a plus.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with staff at client organizations.
