Job Summary

MaineHealth is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support our new virtual perinatal behavioral health program. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with an LCSW and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional patient care in a virtual team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist providers in the care and treatment of patients
• Provide administrative support to ensure a smooth flow of patients through the office
• Create a calm and supportive atmosphere for patients
• Demonstrate competency in all skills related to patient care within your scope of practice

Requirements

• Current CNA certificate or MA certification through an NCCA accredited program
• At least 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant
• National Healthcare Association Clinical Medical Assistant Certification, American Medical Technology's Registered Medical Assistant, or current AAMA Certification
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical office procedures, medical terminology, and computer systems
