Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide comprehensive guidance and hands-on management to our Center of Excellence (COE) and third-party logistics (3PL) operations teams, ensuring flawless execution in receiving, inventory control, order processing, and shipping.
- Performance Enhancement: Regularly assess key performance indicators (KPIs) to pinpoint improvement opportunities and implement strategies aimed at boosting operational efficiency, minimizing costs, and enhancing order fulfillment accuracy.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain robust partnerships with 3PL providers, working collaboratively to align on objectives, expectations, and operational workflows.
- Contract Management: Spearhead negotiations with 3PL partners to secure advantageous terms and service-level agreements, maximizing organizational value.
- Process Improvement: Design and execute streamlined processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices to enhance fulfillment operations, reduce errors, and shorten lead times.
- Technology Integration: Utilize technology solutions, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and order management platforms, to improve visibility, data accuracy, and reporting within the fulfillment process.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with various teams, including Merchants, Customer Service, and Inventory Management, to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop high-performing operations teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks within the fulfillment process and devise mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- At least 8 years of experience in supply chain management and fulfillment operations, particularly with 3PL partnerships and lean methodologies.
- Proven success in managing and optimizing 3PL operations to meet or exceed KPIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and order management systems (OMS).
- Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Leadership experience with a focus on mentoring and developing diverse teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Preferred: Professional certifications in supply chain management, such as APICS or CSCMP accreditation.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to perform general office functions, including sitting, standing, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
