GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Leasing Agent plays a crucial role in securing tenants for available apartments while promoting community amenities and delivering exceptional service to both prospective and current residents.

This position involves preparing and clarifying lease documentation for new and renewing tenants, ensuring all vacant units are presented in an appealing and ready-to-rent condition.

Successful candidates will prioritize customer satisfaction, exhibit a proactive approach, and respond effectively to the needs of prospects and residents.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Foster a welcoming and professional atmosphere within the community.
  • Work diligently to maximize occupancy rates by leasing available units and nurturing relationships with existing residents to encourage lease renewals.
  • Conduct property tours, showcasing all available amenities and model apartments.
  • Process applications from prospective tenants promptly, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and meets company standards before submission for approval.
  • Prepare lease agreements and move-in packets accurately and efficiently, coordinating lease signings with new residents prior to their move-in dates.
  • Maintain organized records of prospects, traffic, and rental data, ensuring all leasing information is up-to-date.
  • Keep comprehensive and accurate files for all residents and assist with office filing as needed.
  • Stay informed about community offerings and competitor properties through site visits and research.
  • Ensure the office environment is clean, organized, and adheres to safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members and the Community Manager to develop effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • Conduct property inspections while on-site and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate staff.
  • Prepare vacant apartments to be rent-ready, ensuring they are clean and inviting.
  • Handle service requests from residents and coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely resolution.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly, aiming to convert inquiries into lease agreements.
  • Attend work as scheduled to contribute to the overall success of the organization.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a related field.
  • Experience in residential leasing or sales is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Yardi Voyager software is a plus.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and email.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
