POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facility Maintenance Specialist is tasked with maintaining cleanliness and operational efficiency within the branch.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure daily sanitation of the warehouse, utilizing industrial cleaning equipment such as sweepers and scrubbers to keep the floors dust-free.
- Collect and dispose of waste from the warehouse facility into designated dumpsters or compactors. Clean large trash receptacles as necessary.
- Perform detailed cleaning of shelving units, walls, staircases, doors, balers, compactors, and other areas.
- Manage the compaction of excess cardboard boxes using the baler.
- Assemble boxes and assist with dock operations as required.
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) as needed.
- Willingness to work overtime and assist in various branch functions.
- Capability to work independently and thrive in a diverse workplace.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to lift, carry, and move products, supplies, and boxes weighing up to and exceeding 75 lbs. Responsibilities include sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and maintaining visual acuity for near and far distances.
