Position Overview

The University of Central Oklahoma is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Graduate Assistant. This position entails a commitment of hours per week, primarily focused on supporting the coaching and management of the women's rowing program. The schedule may include nontraditional hours, such as early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

$7.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in coaching and managing the women's rowing team.
  • Travel with the team to participate in away races.
  • Support logistics by driving the boat trailer to various race locations.

Enrollment Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must be enrolled at least half-time during the fall and spring semesters. For graduate students, this is defined as a minimum of 5 credit hours, while undergraduate students must enroll in at least 6 credit hours. International students are required to maintain full-time enrollment, which is 9 credit hours for graduates and 12 credit hours for undergraduates.

During the summer semester, student employees must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours. Those not taking summer classes must be registered for fall classes to maintain eligibility for summer employment. Additional enrollment criteria apply for Federal Work Study Program positions.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Experience in rowing and/or coaching.

Preferred:
  • Experience in driving a boat trailer.
