Petro Star Inc., a division of Arctic Slope Regional Corporation, operates a full-service fuel company in Dutch Harbor. We provide a variety of services to our customers, including marine fuel and lubricant sales, equipment and storage rentals, as well as operating the town's only gas station, all while meeting the Petro Star commitment to customer service that's second to none.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all customers are taken care of in a timely, professional manner utilizing the highest level of customer service.
  • Assist with daily preparation of deli food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Must have a food handler permit.
  • Provide weekly list of food and supplies needed to Assistant Terminal Manager for ordering.
  • Receive goods & supplies from vendors.
  • Operate cash register and count and balance shift cash drawer at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Generates invoices for charges on gasoline/automotive sales.
  • Prepare sandwiches/pizzas and wait on customer in deli area.
  • Keep the store clean (mopping, dusting, etc.) and other related tasks to improve general appearance of the store.
  • Must participate in all company-provided training.
  • Complete daily paperwork at end of shift.
  • Adhere to all company policies as described in gas station policies reviewed upon hiring.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess basic math and computer skills.
  • Cash register experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
  • Great customer service experience.
  • Must be 19 years of age to sell tobacco according to the State of Alaska Tobacco laws.
  • Must successfully complete the We Card training and Underground Storage Tank Class C training.
