Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Cashier (H) to join our team at Alaska Park. As a Cashier (H), you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling cash transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Process cash transactions, including making change and issuing receipts.
  • Count and reconcile cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the lobby and surrounding areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous customer service experience or training as a cashier preferred.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using all units of measure.
  • Ability to count and make change on cash transactions.
  • Ability to use a clock, calculator, and credit card machine to handle transactions.

Competencies:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write correspondence and present in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out standard written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to stand or sit for long periods, withstand working in varying elements of seasonal and inclement weather, and walk for long periods. The employee must also be able to free lift up to 30 pounds.
