About the RoleThe Pharmacy Manager is responsible for ensuring the pharmacy and team members follow policies and standards in accordance with state and federal laws. This includes managing pharmacy staff, dispensing prescription medication, counseling patients, and performing wellness services such as immunizations and flu shots.
Key Responsibilities- Consumer and Clinic Partner Experience: Create a positive and supportive experience for our consumers and clinic partners by building strong relationships and meeting their needs.
- Clinical Expertise: Serve as an expert to our clinical staff, providing guidance and support to meet clinical outcomes.
- Medication Counseling: Counsel and educate patients on medication usage, adverse effects, and schedules.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the pharmacy and team members follow policies and standards in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Wellness Services: Perform wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and other preventive services.
- Financial Management: Drive financial profitability and identify opportunities to grow the pharmacy.
- Team Leadership: Motivate, develop, and coach pharmacy staff to ensure they meet their potential and deliver exceptional service.
- Marketing and Promotion: Develop and implement marketing plans to promote pharmacy offerings.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
- Licensure: Current pharmacist license in the state of Virginia.
- Certification: Certified immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 3 months of hire.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience practicing as a pharmacist in Virginia or another jurisdiction in the United States.
