Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the standardization of end products and subcomponents tailored to Bloom Energy's specifications.
- Identify necessary electrical gear (e.g., switchgear, transformers) for customer installations.
- Collaborate with the Site Design team to specify the required gear.
- Engage with manufacturers to ensure optimal suitability, minimal lead times, and competitive pricing for applications.
- Support the Supply Chain team with technical expertise in procuring electrical components.
- Evaluate new vendors and develop innovative technologies to reduce costs while meeting Bloom's future requirements.
- Foster technical relationships with suppliers and collaborate with Installations Team Leadership on potential joint ventures and acquisitions.
- Eliminate technical barriers and represent advanced products or services in the power sector.
- Strong knowledge of engineering, supply chain, and construction solutions.
- Ability to develop and implement standardization plans for electrical gear.
- Experience in evaluating third-party partners for project deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Lean enterprise practices.
- Knowledge of relevant codes (NEC, NFPA) and standards (UL).
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, with a Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in electrical gear design, manufacturing, procurement, or applications is required. Experience in Supply Chain Management is a plus.
