Job Summary:

As a Commercial Construction Concrete Finisher with the City of Rowlett, TX, you will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of City water, wastewater, streets, and City drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pours, spreads, and levels concrete
  • Operates equipment in construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of City water, wastewater, streets, and City drainage systems
  • Works on Capital Improvement Projects funded with bond proceeds

Requirements:

  • Graduation from High School or GED
  • Three (3) years of general maintenance experience relating to construction, maintenance, and repair of streets and drainage
  • At least one year of experience in a skilled labor field such as asphalt paving, concrete forming, set up, and finishing
  • Valid Class "C" driver's license required
  • Valid Commercial Class "A" Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker endorsement is preferred or ability to obtain one with six (6) months of employment required
  • Must reside within a 1 hour response time from the Public Works Building
