Motor Grader Operator

We are seeking a skilled Motor Grader Operator to join our team at the City of Rowlett, TX. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment in the construction, maintenance, and repair of streets and drainage systems.

• Operate motor graders and other heavy equipment to perform construction, maintenance, and repair tasks
• Pour, spread, and level concrete; set forms, tie steel, wreck form, backfill, lay sod, and use various finishing tools
• Work with moderate supervision to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three years of general maintenance experience relating to construction, maintenance, and repair of streets and drainage
• At least one year of experience in a skilled labor field, such as asphalt paving, concrete forming, set up, and finishing
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker endorsement within six months of employment
• Ability to reside within a 1-hour response time from the Public Works Building
