About This Opportunity

Jarrell Animal Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Veterinarian to join our team. As a key member of our hospital, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading our veterinary team, and driving business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including physical examinations, surgeries, and dentistry
  • Lead and mentor our veterinary team to ensure exceptional patient care and client satisfaction
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and revenue
  • Collaborate with our hospital manager to achieve financial goals and manage expenses
  • Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine
  • Assist in the development of our paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and exceptional client service
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Texas
  • 3+ years of leadership/management experience, preferred
  • 3+ years of experience as a veterinarian, required
  • Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
  • Ability to lead the team through a variety of cases
  • Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets
  • Compassionate team player who can uphold great reputation with clients
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics

About Jarrell Animal Hospital

Jarrell Animal Hospital is a state-of-the-art animal hospital offering routine, advanced, and urgent care for cats, dogs, farm animals, goats, equine, exotics, and pocket pets. Our hospital includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-hospital x-ray capabilities, in-hospital ultrasonography, in-hospital dental radiology, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and a separate closely supervised quarantine area for those cases in need.

We use the latest anesthetic monitoring for surgeries to include ACL repair and other orthopedic surgery, soft tissue, mass removals, and dentistry. Doctor's hours are designed to maintain a healthy work-life balance with no late nights and only 1⁄2 day Saturdays.

We have a state-of-the-art in-house lab equipped with digital x-rays, ultrasound, EKG, endoscopy, and tonometer, allowing our team to handle everything from preventative screenings to sophisticated diagnostics.
