Lead Veterinarian Opportunity

Southern Veterinary Partners is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Veterinarian to join our team at Jarrell Animal Hospital in Jarrell, TX.

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian who can lead our team in providing exceptional care to our patients and their owners. As a Lead Veterinarian, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical practices, managing associate doctor performance, and driving financial performance of the hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the ongoing evaluation and management of clinical practices
  • Monitor associate doctor performance and production
  • Help drive financial performance of the hospital, including revenue generation and expense management
  • Explain physical examination findings and communicate diagnosis to clients
  • Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records
  • Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine
  • Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team
  • Represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in Texas
  • 3+ years of experience as a veterinarian, required
  • 3+ years of leadership/management experience, preferred
