Job Title: Tool Maker

Teijin Automotive Technologies is a leading-edge company in the composite material industry, offering a unique opportunity for skilled professionals to join our team.

We are seeking a Journeyman Tool Maker for our Conneaut Ohio plant, where you will play a crucial role in the development and production of innovative automotive technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate various machinery, including lathes, grinders, milling machines, and radial drill presses.
  • Construct and repair special tooling molds and dies.
  • Troubleshoot tooling problems and design special tools, fixtures, gauges, and jigs.
  • Provide technical assistance to Program Coordinators/Managers and support the Engineering and Manufacturing departments.
  • Fabricate jigs and fixtures as needed to support manufacturing operations.
  • Meet requirements as described in IATF 16949 and ISO-14001 procedures.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
  • Certified Journey Man Tool Maker or equivalent documented experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work well without supervision and adapt to new ideas and responsibility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret mold drawings and perform manual dexterity tasks.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The associate is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
