Tooling Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Tooling Specialist to join our team at Teijin Automotive Technologies. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating various equipment, constructing and repairing tooling molds and dies, and troubleshooting tooling problems.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Operation: Operate lathes, grinders, milling machines, radial drill presses, shapers, and plainer to produce high-quality tooling and components.
- Tooling Design and Construction: Construct and repair special tooling molds and dies, and design special tools, fixtures, gauges, jigs, and dies.
- Troubleshooting and Quality Control: Troubleshoot tooling problems and process issues, and conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO-14001 procedures.
- Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance to Program Coordinators/Managers, and assist the Engineering and Manufacturing departments in developing methods to incorporate process/product improvement ideas.
- Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work area, and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
- Experience: Certified Journey Man Tool Maker or equivalent documented experience required.
- Skills: Problem-solving and decision-making skills, ability to work well without supervision, adaptability to new ideas and responsibility, and excellent communication skills.
- Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
