Job Summary:

Curative, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a Hospice and Palliative Medicine role. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients with serious illnesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary and specialty care to patients with complex medical needs, including those with terminal illnesses.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patients' medical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care, manage symptoms, and improve patient outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans in consultation with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide education to patients and families on disease management and self-care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.
  • Experience in hospice and palliative care, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of end-of-life care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments in complex situations.
