Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Radiologist/Surgeon during intricate and specialized invasive angiographic and interventional procedures in the designated suite.
  • Manage surgical scrub and circulation tasks to ensure comprehensive patient care throughout the procedure.
  • Conduct specialized radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging for interventional and angiographic procedures under physician supervision.
  • Communicate procedure details to patients, addressing any concerns and preparing them adequately.
  • Assist in maintaining patient comfort during procedures, providing necessary supplies for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
  • Remove catheters and sheaths while applying direct pressure as needed.
  • Deliver essential report information to physicians, nursing staff, and other team members.
  • Order necessary procedures and manage supply charges.
  • Execute image acquisition and post-processing, ensuring timely documentation on PACS.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
  • Utilize computerized documentation systems for monitoring, recording, and communication.
  • Assist in patient transportation as required.
  • Provide orientation and mentorship to new staff members.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols in line with established practices.

Required Qualifications
  • Current Texas Medical Board - MRT license.
  • Current ARRT (R) License.
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification / CPR issued by the American Heart Association.
