Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

Job Summary:

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Savannah, GA. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, including AC, electrical systems, and advanced skilled level repairs
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure quality of repair work and customer satisfaction
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates
  • Coordinate work schedules and prioritize workload to meet customer needs

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment
