Position Overview:

This fellowship offers a unique opportunity for individuals interested in advancing their expertise in urinary procedures and extracorporeal therapies within a dynamic veterinary setting.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will engage in a variety of essential duties, including:

  • Extracorporeal Therapy: The fellow will dedicate 50% of their time to managing elective and emergency extracorporeal therapy sessions, with on-call responsibilities during the latter part of the fellowship.
  • Advanced Urinary Procedures: The fellow will also spend 50% of their time participating in advanced urinary procedures such as stent placements, ectopic ureter ablation, renal sclerotherapy, and lithotripsy, while assisting in the training of residents.
Candidate Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be board-eligible or certified by the ACVIM, with time allocated for board preparation. A strong academic background and excellent communication skills are essential.

Additional Benefits:

Fellows will receive training in advanced endourology techniques, with sponsorship for course costs.

Work Schedule:

The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for additional hours as needed.

Licensure Requirements:

Eligibility for North Carolina Veterinary licensure is required.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary for this position is $70,000.
