About the Role

Duke Health is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Rehabilitation Physiatrist to join our esteemed team. As a key member of our Pediatrics Rehabilitation Medicine Service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients with congenital and childhood-onset physical impairments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnoses of patients with complex rehabilitation needs.
  • Develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans, incorporating a range of interventions and therapies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in pediatric rehabilitation medicine, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in educational initiatives and disability advocacy efforts, contributing to the development of disability and rehabilitation curricula in the School of Medicine.
Requirements
  • Board eligibility or certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
  • Fellowship training and BE/BC in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine is recommended, yet not required.
  • Excellent clinical acumen, maturity, and a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
