We are seeking a skilled HazMat Field Driver/Technician to join our team at Republic Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of various waste streams to generator sites.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Straight Trucks (box trucks) and Tractor Trailers to perform pickups of bulk and containerized hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.
- Maintain driver documents, such as logbook, quarterly permit book, trip reports, wastes manifests, etc.
- Ensure accurate placarding, load securement, HAZMAT load segregation and labeling.
- Perform DOT / MOT pre-trip and post trip vehicle inspections.
- Effectively interact and communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Class B Commercial Driver's license is required with hazardous material and tanker endorsements or ability to get endorsement(s) within 90 days from hire date.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and compressor systems.
- Skilled using hand and shop tools, and instruments.
