Obstetrician-Gynecologist Hospitalist

Atrium Health is seeking a highly skilled Obstetrician-Gynecologist Hospitalist to join our team at Carolinas Medical Center. As a key member of our Women's Service Line, you will provide 24/7 double in-house attending physician coverage, working alongside our current team of 7 Academic Generalists and 3 Academic Hospitalists.

• Supervise residents and medical students on Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Triage units, as well as APPs who provide care in our OB Triage unit and CNMs on Labor and Delivery.
• Manage both high-risk and low-risk patients, with approximately 3500 deliveries per year.
• Collaborate with our Maternal Fetal Medicine faculty, who are available 24/7 to manage the Antepartum Unit.
• Provide inpatient gynecology care, including performing urgent/emergent gynecologic surgeries such as laparoscopy for ectopic pregnancy and ovarian torsion, or dilation and curettage for early pregnancy loss.

• Our department is comprised of 37 board-eligible/certified physicians representing all OB/Gyn subspecialties, providing care to a diverse patient population.
• We have 24 OB/Gyn residents, with 6 per year, and a new regional campus for Wake Forest University School of Medicine providing clinical education for 3rd and 4th year medical students and PA students.
• Clinical education for 3rd and 4th year medical students and PA students.
• We are the primary regional referral center for high-risk pregnancies with Level 3 NICU support.
