Atrium Health is a leading community-focused academic healthcare system serving North Carolina and South Carolina. We are seeking Obstetrician and Gynecologists to join our Women's Service Line at Carolinas Medical Center.
Job SummaryWe are searching for 4 Ob/Gyn Hospitalists to complement our current cohort and provide 24/7 double in-house attending physician coverage. Our team is comprised of 7 Academic Generalists and 3 Academic Hospitalists who educate, supervise, and provide patient care alongside resident physicians.
Responsibilities- Inpatient Obstetrics: Supervise residents and medical students on Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Triage units. Perform approximately 3500 deliveries per year and manage both high-risk and low-risk patients.
- Inpatient Gynecology: Supervise residents in the care of our inpatient gynecology service and consultation service, including performing urgent/emergent gynecologic surgeries.
Our department is comprised of 37 board-eligible/certified physicians representing all OB/Gyn subspecialties, providing care to a diverse patient population. We have 24 OB/Gyn residents and a new regional campus for Wake Forest University School of Medicine providing clinical education for 3rd and 4th year medical students and PA students.
