Exciting Opportunity for a VP of Internal Audit

A leading company, UHY LLP, Certified Public Accountants, is seeking a highly experienced VP of Internal Audit to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a global company, and must hold a valid CPA. Specific experience in the manufacturing sector is also desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a risk-based internal audit plan aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead and manage a team of auditors, providing guidance and oversight.
  • Evaluate internal controls and governance processes.
  • Communicate audit findings to senior management.
  • Direct special assignments and investigations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Lead Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance testing.
  • Drive continuous improvement in audit processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address risks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • CPA required; Big 4 accounting experience preferred.
  • 15+ years of finance and accounting experience.
  • Experience in public accounting and internal auditing.
  • Manufacturing experience, particularly in Automotive Manufacturing.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • SOX/public company experience.
  • Global experience.
